Videographer, Interviewer Contact by email: CynTickell@gmail.com or 813~767~7549
Cynthia Tickell's experience spans the technological leaps from film, studio reel-to-reel video, and VHS formats to Digital Video. Her interviewing skills were enhanced by her education, travel and work experiences.
She also has a diverse background in both education and work experience.
Cynthia earned degrees in TV Production, Psychology and Journalism. Her background ranges from technical to educational to social services.
Her technical experience includes audio/visual production and electronic troubleshooting. She served in the Air Force (avionics RADAR and statistical analysis) and then worked in a university setting for almost 20 years in client-based research, behavioral therapy, training and curriculum design. She trained in the private sector for many years teaching remote technical troubleshooting and customer service before starting her own business.
Cyn started using Video in studio and training settings. She now enjoys recording individual and group interviews to capture interesting stories for future generations.
She spent many years working with children, families and seniors. Her 7 years as a Guardian ad Litem investigating child abuse and neglect, and later experience helping seniors navigate assistance programs, fueled her passion as an independent / interdependent living advocate. Cyn helps individuals and families with health and safety issues and service coordination as well as teaching methodical, technological, and mechanical aids to adapt to physical or aging challenges and foster autonomy. While coordinating a Neighborhood Watch program, Cyn enjoyed using technology to keep her neighbors connected with each other through an email service and a printed directory. She then began coaching individuals on technology and brought her laptop to their homes to help them navigate the Internet, organize their information and master new technologies.
She has enjoyed adventures throughout the U.S., Europe, and the Far East.
A Dream: Every Hospice agency should have a list of volunteer interviewers who are willing to be on call for any client who wishes to leave an audio or video legacy for family and friends.
